Chioma and I are perfect; marrying her was the right decision – Davido

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed his joy and satisfaction with his decision to marry his long-time lover, Chioma.

The couple reportedly tied the knot in a secret ceremony a few months after the loss of their first son, Ifeanyi.

In a recent interview with Tattleroomng, Davido revealed that he and Chioma have known each other for almost two decades, having met while they were both students at Babcock University.

He described her as a part of him and emphasized the importance of finding someone who truly understands and complements him.

"Me and my wife, we grew up together, we met in school. We are just so used to each other. She is like a part of me," Davido said.

"You definitely have to get someone that understands you, me and my wife, we are just perfect. It’s just a good match. She is the best decision I ever made,” added the “Assurance” hitmaker.

The multi-award-winning artist also praised Chioma's culinary skills, saying that she is an excellent cook.

"I have known her for almost 20 years and she can cook well," he said.

Davido's love story with Chioma began in 2015 when they officially started dating.

Since then, the couple has been inseparable, with Chioma often accompanying Davido to his shows and events.

They welcomed their first child together, Ifeanyi, in 2019, and despite the heartbreak of losing him, they have remained devoted to each other.

The "Timeless" album creator has been making waves in the music industry for years, with hit songs such as "Fall," "If," and "Fem."

He has won numerous awards both locally and internationally and has collaborated with several international artists, including Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and Meek Mill.
