Ghanaian hip-hop recording artist, YPee has revealed how the lust for money made him put his education on hold.
The rapper YPee revealed that he dropped out of the University of Ghana one month after enrolling due to the desire to make money.
He told Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show aired on Accra-based TV3 on Sunday, May 21, " I attended Legon but I stopped in a month because I needed money... I was under pressure to get enough money to catch up with the pressure of people having enough money, the ladies and all."
YPee, whose real name is Andy Agyeman, said though his parents were taking care of him financially, it was not enough for the kind of lifestyle he wanted.
He said "Though my parents were taken care of me but the money I needed were block and my parents had no such amount."
After leaving University, the 27-year-old moved to Kumasi where he got into a relationship with a "sugar mummy" who supported his business financially.
In his words, "I left school one Friday to my brother who stays at Akweteyman before I left to Kumasi in 2015....I got myself a sugar mummy after prematurely ending my educational career in 2015 who helped me to be financially independent by supporting my business."
