Nigerian singer, Bad Boy Timz, has opened up about his worst experience in life, revealing that he was shot in the eye and nose at the age of nine.
In a recent interview with Nigerian media personality Adesope Shopsydoo, the "Michael Jackson" crooner shared that he was with his parents and older brother when the incident occurred.
The bullet that hit him, he said was originally intended for his father's head, but it struck him in the eye and nose instead.
“I got shot when I was nine, in the nose and it affected this eye.
"They just overtook us and started shooting, they didn’t even tell us to stop and I got shot in the eye because they were targeting my dad’s head and it went straight into my eye," Bad Boy Timz said.
The singer further explained that the shooting was not a robbery, but rather a targeted attack on an Igbo family.
According to him, the assailants did not stop their car and simply sprayed bullets at the family's vehicle.
Despite the trauma, Bad Boy Timz has been able to move on and pursue his passion for music.
However, he revealed that the affected eye continues to give him problems and that he will need to undergo another operation soon.
"The eye is alright, I’m supposed to do another operation soon," he said.
