Ini Edo makes history, bags 10 nominations at AMVCA 2023 with ‘Shanty Town’ movie

Famed Nollywood actress and producer, Ini Edo has been nominated for 10 awards at the upcoming AMVCA 2023.

The actress expressed her excitement in an Instagram post after the announcement of the nominees.

She shared a photo of the movie poster for Shanty Town, the movie that earned her the nominations, and captioned it, “10 Nominations! Phew! Did I see the nominations coming?? Yes...just didn't know it will come in such grand style.”

Ini Edo went on to express her gratitude to the cast and crew of Shanty Town, calling them her tribe, and thanking them for their hard work.

She also thanked her supportive cast members, her unwavering audience, and her co-executive producers for their contributions in making the movie a success.

“Now the time has come to bring home the Shanty awards..Every nominated individual put in so much work to make Shanty Town the great Series we all saw. So please fam help the tribe of Shantytown bring these awards Home...Thank you for your support always...And to my Co-Executive producers.... We did This!! Literally,” she added.

Ini Edo has built a successful career in the Nigerian movie industry, starring in several blockbuster movies and producing many award-winning films.

With her 10 nominations at the AMVCA 2023, she has further cemented her position as one of Nollywood's most talented and celebrated actresses.
