A celebrated Ghanaian highlife singer, Eugene Marfo, known by the stage name Kuami Eugene, has opined about his first-time experience with alcohol.
The "Angela" hitmaker said he was first influenced to drink alcohol by his Lynx record label boss, Richie Mensah.
Recounting this experience in a recent "Striped" interview with actress and television personality Sika Osei, the one-time VGMA Artiste of the Year revealed that his boss told him alcohol was sweet.
But after taking a sip of the drink, the 'Cryptocurrency' hitmaker said it wasn't as sweet as Richie made it seem.
"The first time I went to the club was with Richie." I hadn’t been to the club before, and the first time I tasted alcohol was because of Richie. He mixed it, and he was like, "Oh, taste it; it’s nice." I tried and I was like, arh, this man paa, this thing is not nice oo," the Lynx signee said.
When asked if his boss was the one who has always taken him to drinking clubs, Eugene said he now goes there by himself.
He stated that he goes to drinking clubs like Blue Moon because he is not the club-going type.
"Now he doesn’t take me there anymore; I go by myself, but I’m not so much of a club type; I go once a year," he said.
