Ghanaian versatile musician and songwriter Martin King Arthur, chiefly known as Kofi Kinaata has achieved yet another outstanding feat in his music career.

The multiple-time artist of the year nominee has become the first Ghanaian singer who has gotten four of his songs studied in one of Africa’s premier universities, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The thought-provoking singer first got the song, titled "Susuka," as the first of his tracks that got studied at the Ghana-based tertiary institution back in 2016.

He subsequently got his "Confession" and "Things Fall Apart" songs studied in the university’s department of English in 2018 and 2022, respectively.

In a new development, the Things Fall Apart track, which was studied in 2022, has again been selected to be studied by level 200 students for the first semester of the 2022–2023 academic year.

Voice of KNUST, a social media handle known for the dissemination of accurate reports from the revered school, said the song was chosen "due to its literary appeal and overall impact on the social lives of people."

Kofi Kinaata competed in the Melody FM (Kasahari) rap competition shortly after finishing his second cycle education at Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) and finished as the second runner-up in 2009. His first single, "Obi Ne Ba," was released in 2011.

He is known for his lyrical dexterity in terms of unique rhyme schemes and a humorous Fante rap style with a touch of traditional African proverbs in his native language to entertain and educate his listeners.

He won Hybrid Song of the Year at the Ghana National Gospel Music Awards 2019 in February 2020.

Kofi Kinaata has won songwriter of the year three times in a row at the Ghana Music Awards.

In December 2015, he released a song called "Made in Taadi," which became a hit with most Fante people because it referenced their famous "Ankos" (fancy dress and masqueraders Xmas Carnival) annual festival, which takes place during Christmas.
