Fameye, the Ghanaian hip-life and Afrobeat artiste born Peter Famiyeh Bozah, has spoken out about his true musical style.

The award-winning musician says he considers himself a literary monger after coining several songs with inspirational and motivational lyrics.

In an interview with the press, Fameye stated that he is more concerned being a positive influence on people's lives through his music than being a mere celebrity.

“I see myself as a storyteller. For me, making music goes beyond being a celebrity and has more to do with my story and the message I want to communicate to my listeners,” he said.

He added that though he is a storyteller, “I don’t eye the Songwriter of the Year award whenever I am creating my music. I just want to send a message across to fans that resonate with their daily lives.”

According to Fameye, he does not have a specific genre of music and instead focuses on developing a musical brand comparable to that of celebrated musicians such as Daddy Lumba and others.

“I don’t see myself as a strictly Highlife musician because I believe I am still finding myself with the particular kind of genre I do, but I consider myself a versatile act.

“The dream is to live a great legacy in Ghanaian music circles like the likes of Amakye Dede, Ebo Taylor, Daddy Lumba. Okomfour Kwadee, among others, has done.”
