Adom TV and radio presenter, Cynthia Tima Yeboah, popularly known as Tima Kumkum, has paid hospital bills of a 13-year-old girl on Thursday at the Ga South Hospital in Accra.
The girl’s father impregnated her after he took her from her mother in the Western Region at the age of 12.
Tima visited the hospital to lecture pregnant women about the G6PD deficiency but upon sighting little Ama she had no alternative than to help.
The media personality, after the donation, said the young girl’s story touched her after she was informed that she would be operated on before her first delivery due to her age.
“I went to the GA South Municipal Hospital, popularly known as Akaway, to educate pregnant women on G6PD awareness and through that I stumbled upon a 12-year-old girl whom her own father impregnated and couldn’t give birth normally hence an option for CS so I footed her hospital bills and gave money for her upkeep…” she said.
Tima added that aside Ama who recently gave birth, the man was also sleeping with his 10-year-old daughter who is currently under medication following the man’s illicit acts.
Information reaching Adomonline.com suggests Ama’s father has since been jailed for 29 years.
