Amsterdam City will come to a halt this weekend – 30th june, 2007. All roads will lead to Augustinus College, Bijlmermeer in the Amsterdam Southeast District for the maiden event of Face of Ghana.
The slogan of the event is 'Beauty with a mission'. The face of Ghana Holland beauty pageant is expected to continue as an annual event, and showcase, principally, the abundant rich cultures of Ghana and the striking beauty her maidens are endowed with.
This fantastic event is organized by Soulhour Radio in association with Face of Ghana Organisation. CEO of the event Peter Kwaku Duah commented: The pageant offers potential avenues where young women can build themselves up in elegance, poise, confidence, communication and public speaking as well as physical fitness and self-discipline, but more importantly they will not only serve as role models for their generation but also inspire others to make the best out of their circumstances.
He encourages active involvement of contestants and particularly title-holders in community service, public awareness campaigns and diverse charities.
With special guests from the UK…The event will be compared by none other than the Finest himself KKD. Amongst the judges will be Georgina Bimpong of Kafina Management UK (Management of Tic Tac).
Performances on the night include Reggie Rockstone the godfather of hip-life and all the way from Ghana, V Jay (UK), Da Squadboys and Mpesepesem (Holland), Bissy (Frankfurt), Bissy (Hamburg) and Kingseyez (UK)
