Every avowed pro-Westerner like me would argue that there is no place like Sekondi-Takoradi, the Twin-City and now the Oil City for several reasons. Don't you believe this arguable fact? OK then you probably haven't watched the "Junka Town" movie which has sparked everyone's excitement in Sekunde T'adi and its environs. Simply put, "Junka Town" has been classified as the new film revolution of the Twin-City which is capable of redefining arts and entertainment in the Oil City and beyond.
So what is this "Junka Town" movie all about? "Junka Town" is a movie produced by Tango One Films which tells the story of hustling in Sekunde T'adi especially in Junka Town, an imaginary setting in Effiakuma. And the "Junka Town" movie is filled with a high level of humour which would certainly throw you into rib-cracking laughter born out of the satire of notable characters like Too Much, Alaska, Yogot, Benjilo, Ramen, Ajara Mapouka, Critical etc. Also, their various roles were very instrumental in making "Junka Town" an exceptional tragicomedy which exceeded our limited imagination.
Even though "Junka Town" (parts 1 and 2) were unofficially released but still transcended boundaries, the official premiere at the Vienna City in Takoradi last week would usher this movie into super-greatness. Moreover, the fictional storyline of "Junka Town" is a direct reflection of life in Sekunde T'adi which is sealed by the sweetest Ghanaian dialect, T'adi Fante. And I strongly believe that "Junka Town" is leading a satirical campaign to challenge Westerners to live beyond their hustles in this great city which became a metaphorical expression of Biblical Nazareth.
