
Samini is set to release his sixth album titled 'Breaking News' in April this year.
Having performed creditably in the Ghanaian music scene for the past decade, Samini is recognised as one of Ghana's successful music icons who has been consistent in his musical career.
His new album which is yet to hit the music market features internationally acclaimed artistes such as Ice Prince, Phyno, Tiwaa Savage, Brainy Beatz, JMJ Baby, JR, among others.
The 'Linda' hitmaker is currently in the States working with some international engineers on his yet-to-be released album.
“After my fifth album, I have decided to reintroduce myself to the world yet again. I need to prove a different side of me to the world so I settled on 'Breaking News' as the title of the sixth album which comes with a completely new direction,' he disclosed.
Ghana's dancehall artiste in 2011 won the Channel O Music Video Award for Most Gifted Reggae/Dancehall Video at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
After a series of collaborations in 2002, he got a record deal and made his first album, the chart-topping ' Dankwansere' . His song 'Linda' is still one of Ghana's most loved.
He has performed alongside Sean Paul , Akon , Kevin Little , Shaggy , Wayne Wonder , Damien Marley , Bennie Man , Jay-Z , Chaka Demus & Pliers , Culture (of blessed memory) and Steel Pulse .
He has received international recognition and toured the UK , Germany , Italy , Canada , Netherlands , among others.
He received international recognition when he won the Best African Artiste at the 2006 MOBO Awards .
