Most versatile Kumasi based dancehall and reggae artist Rexford Kojo Amoah popularly known as Shatta Rako aka Kojo Legend could just be living up to the bidding as the next big musician to salvage the Garden City from the wrecks of its music woes as he has been nominated in one of the most competitive categories at the first ever Ghanaian Dancehall Awards; BASS Awards.
Nominated for Most Popular dancehall song of the year with his hit single Good girl gone bad alongside Samini, Iwan, Stonebwoy, Kaakie, Jupitar, Trigmatic and Mugeez of R2Bees, Shatta Rako is confident he will reign supreme on the night of the awards.
In an interview with NYDJLive, Shatta Rako expressed his appreciation to his numerous fans worldwide for the recognition and asked them to watch out for an exceptional video to the song which he disclosed was already in the making and nearing its release.
Shatta Rako launches his double album, Classical Remixes and Redefined at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City on the 1st of July 2013 with support from fellow dancehall and highlife musicians Kofi B, Kofi Nti, Legendary Pat Thomas, Felix Owusu,Fiifi Sella formerly of TH4 Kwages, Sonni Balli, Kwame Adinkrah and many others.
