
African Dance Rhythms, a Ghana-based cultural arts organization, is set to launch its latest production, Kalajah, at Alliance Française, Accra, in a vibrant celebration of African dance, drumming, storytelling, and cultural heritage.
Founded in 2013 by Fofoo Attiso, African Dance Rhythms is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and passing on Africa's rich cultural traditions through authentic performances, education, workshops, and cultural exchange. The organization has earned recognition for its dynamic presentation of Ghanaian music and dance and its commitment to inspiring audiences across generations.
Kalajah promises an immersive cultural experience that highlights the beauty of African identity, resilience, and community. Through powerful rhythms, expressive movement, and storytelling, the performance invites audiences to reconnect with the heartbeat of Africa.
The launch is expected to attract high-profile dignitaries, government officials, traditional leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, cultural enthusiasts, and the general public, underscoring the significance of the event on Ghana's cultural calendar.
Speaking ahead of the launch, the founder and leader of African Dance Rhythms, Fofoo Attiso, expressed his excitement about unveiling Kalajah and assured patrons of a warm and memorable reception. He noted that the production reflects the group's commitment to preserving authentic African traditions and expressed his hope of inspiring the younger generation to embrace and appreciate traditional African dance and culture.
