Ghanaian media personality Debbielyn Jackson has added another remarkable achievement to her career, winning Most Versatile Journalist of the Year in Africa at the just-ended Africans Most 100 Women Awards and Conference.
The event, held last Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the British Council in Accra, brought together influential personalities from across the continent in a celebration of excellence and impact.
Organised by Imperial Leo Network, the prestigious ceremony recognised and honoured outstanding African women who are making significant strides in their respective fields. The event recorded a massive attendance, drawing dignitaries including queens, chiefs, sultans, top women CEOs, as well as notable movie actors and actresses from across Africa.
Debbielyn Jackson, the General Manager of FOKA TV, was celebrated for her exceptional contribution to the media industry and her remarkable versatility. Over the years, she has distinguished herself across various areas of journalism, including radio and television presenting, camera operation, video editing, videography, and live streaming production. Her recognition also highlights her strong leadership at FOKA TV in her role as General Manager.
In her acceptance speech, Debbielyn first and foremost thanked the Almighty God for the honour. She dedicated the award to her beloved mother and her late father. She further expressed profound gratitude to Frank Owusu Asiamah, Nana Amo Baffour, and the entire staff of FOKA TV for their unwavering support. She also extended appreciation to the organisers for the recognition and dedicated the award to aspiring journalists across the continent, encouraging them to remain resilient, focused, and committed to excellence despite challenges.
The Africans Most 100 Women Awards and Conference continues to stand as a beacon of recognition for women who are breaking barriers and redefining success across Africa.
