
Kenyan producer Beat Kidd has been named Producer of the Year at the UNKUT HipHop Awards 2025, cementing his place as one of Africa’s leading music producers. He was chosen over nominees Ares 66, Luigi, Oddzz Music, and Clue Ashavisha Track.
Beat Kidd is credited with producing “Thugnificent” and “Confirmation” for East African rapper Toxic Lyrikali, tracks that propelled him into the spotlight. He has also worked extensively with Ghanaian rapper Rk Jay'son, producing notable songs including Fanfool, 16shots, Z YARD Freestyle, and Anadwo.
In addition, Beat Kidd has collaborated with other artists, including Master VK, Zitty Litty, and several emerging talents across Africa, showcasing his versatility and influence in the hip-hop scene. Known for blending trap, hip-hop, drill, and R&B influences, his productions are a mix of technical precision and creative innovation.
