Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Rk Jay’son has released a new single titled “Fanfool”, featuring fellow artist Yung Adak, as part of his growing catalogue of independent music.
The track blends elements of hip hop and dancehall, reflecting Rk Jay’son’s evolving sound and his approach to contemporary Ghanaian urban music. “Fanfool” follows a series of digital releases by the Tarkwa-based artist, who has been steadily sharing his work through online streaming platforms.
Rk Jay’son, born Richard King Adavor, is from Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana. He began releasing music independently in 2023 and has since collaborated with a number of emerging artists. His work often highlights personal themes and street-influenced narratives, delivered through a mix of rap and melodic flows.
In addition to his music career, Rk Jay’son also operates under the creative brand Rk Motions, through which he is involved in video production and visual storytelling. This dual role has allowed him to take a hands-on approach to both the audio and visual presentation of his projects.
“Fanfool” features Yung Adak, whose contribution adds a contrasting vocal presence to the track. The collaboration reflects the growing trend of partnerships among independent Ghanaian artists working outside the mainstream label system.
The single is currently available on major digital streaming platforms, including Apple Music and SoundCloud, and has been shared across Rk Jay’son’s official social media pages.
As he continues to release new material, “Fanfool” represents another step in Rk Jay’son’s independent journey within Ghana’s music scene.
