The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, says government is prioritising the passage of the Anti-Witchcraft Bill currently before Parliament.
She says the legislation, if passed and effectively enforced, will help criminalise the abuse of persons accused of witchcraft and protect their fundamental human rights.
The Minister made the remarks when she visited the Gambaga witches camp in the North East Region to assess the conditions of the inmates.
