TUC OPPOSES Tribunals Bill, Demands Full Constitutional Review Report

The Trades Union Congress (TUC), Ghana, has called on government to withdraw the Regional and District Tribunals Bill currently before Parliament, arguing that the proposed legislation is unnecessary and could undermine public confidence in Ghana's justice system.

Addressing journalists in Accra, the Union said reintroducing the tribunal system could create concerns within the administration of justice and urged government to focus on strengthening existing judicial structures.

The TUC also called on government to publish the full report of the Constitutional Review Committee before proceeding with any constitutional amendments.

The call comes amid ongoing discussions on judicial reforms, access to justice and proposed changes to Ghana's constitutional framework.
