The Savannah Region has recorded one death from Cerebrospinal Meningitis (CSM), with seven suspected cases reported so far.
Speaking to Channel One News, the Savannah Regional Deputy Director of Public Health, Dr. Salifu Bawa, confirmed that out of the seven suspected cases, one has resulted in death, three tested negative, and three results are pending.
The fatal case was recorded in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, where the patient was brought to a health facility unconscious and passed away hours later.
