Sebastian Feyrer fetched the opener for Kapfenberg on the 40th-minute mark but the visitors came back strongly from the break to pull parity in the 49th-minute courtesy Mario Petter.
With the match heading for a stalemate, Paul Mensah rose highest to nod in the second goal for the hosts in the 81st minute before Elvedin Heric sealed the win four minutes later.
The win has taken Kapfenberg to 2nd on the standings with 9 points, a point adrift of leaders SV Reid, after matchday 4.
