A hat-trick from leading marksman Joseph Paintsil and a goal from Theophilus Ogoe on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium ensured that the Harbour City boys [Tema Youth] beat Great Olympics 4-0 on matchday 18 of the 2017 Ghana Premier League.
With relegation staring at the faces of both clubs one would have thought that the game was going to be very difficult, but it was the visitors [Tema Youth] who passed with distinction as Joseph Paintsil hits a brace before half the hour mark.
Theophilus Ogoe scored the third goal for the Habour City boys in the 40th minute to ensure that the visitors go into the dressing room with their heads up.
Joseph ‘The Tormentor’ Paintsil signed off the day with a brilliant third goal for himself and the fourth for Tema Youth. The result means that the Harbour City boys have leapfrogged to the 11th position on the league table whiles Great Olympics [19 points] have fallen into the relegation zone [fourteenth position].
Meanwhile, Joseph Paintsil was crowned the Most Valuable Player [MVP] for his sterling performance on the day.
