Ghana and former Chelsea midfielder Micheal Essien says he is open to a discussion to end his future with Panathinaikos if the Greek giants make the move.
Many reports in the Greece media have suggested that the club is not happy at the Ghanaian leaving him on the bench for most of their matches.
But in an exclusive interview with gazzetta.gr, Essien says he is ready to discuss his future with the club over a possible move.
'If the club decides to terminate my contract, I will accept the situation and move on,' Essien said
'Obviously there are contractual issues that we will have to resolve before that happens but I am experienced enough to know if I am not wanted somewhere I have to move on.'
'That's the life of a footballer and its part of our job,' he concluded.
Essien's relationship with Panathinaikos has waned drastically following persistent injuries since his move to the Greece giants.
