Accra Hearts of Oak new acquisition, Samudeen Ibrahim has set a target to become the greatest player ever to wear the colours of the Phobians.
Samudeen Ibrahim, who won the Most Valuable Player award in the Division One League after a sterling performance with King Solomon FC, is optimistic he has the qualities to do better than what his predecessors did at Accra Hearts of Oak.
"Every player has a target and I have mine too. Accra Hearts of Oak is a club with great history and many great players have played for the club," the former King Solomon FC youngster told Accra-based radio station, Happy FM.
"My target is to be the greatest player ever in the history of Accra Hearts of Oak. I am still young and I have the qualities to reach that height if I work hard." He added.
Samudeen Ibrahim scored 4 goals and registered 8 assists in 38 matches in the GN Bank Division One League last season and he is certain he will surpass that achievement at Accra Hearts of Oak, but his target is to help the team achieve results.
"The team success is far important than individual glory and I don't give myself targets when it comes to goal scoring but I won't rule out scoring goals and assisting my colleagues to score. Goal scoring is down to opportunities; if I have the opportunity to score I will, but if there's the need for me to give for my teammates too, I will," He said.
Accra Hearts of Oak paid GHS 60,000 for the signature of Samudeen Ibrahim on the Ghana Premier League's transfer deadline day.
The 19-year old has since scored 1 goal for the club in their preparatory matches for the upcoming Ghana Premier league season.
