The brother of Barcelona star Lionel Messi was reportedly arrested after clashing with police once an unlicensed gun was discovered in his car.
Matias Messi is believed to have gotten into a scuffle with the officers in his native home of Rosario in Argentina after refusing to hand over documents for his Audi A5.
According to The Mirror, Matias, who tried to stop police from searching his vehicle, suffered a cut to his eyebrow and two officers are reported to have had hospital treatment on foot and knee injuries.
Matias, who is now under investigation for alleged illegal weapon possession, spent 16 hours in police custody before being released.
