
Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of Berekum Chelsea captain, Latif Salifu who inked a three year deal with the Accra giants.
The former Liberty Professional attacker is Hearts of Oak's first signing in the off season as the Phobians want to wrestle the league title next season in order to end their seven years league title drought.
Latif Salifu will be joining the Phobians with a lot of experience and his move bring to rest of all transfer speculations surrounding the player as he was under the scouting heels of host of premier league clubs.
Latif Salifu after completing his move to the former premier league champions, the diminutive attacker told the club's News Paper [Hearts News]:
'I joined the club because of what the club offers and I believe in Hearts' direction and focus, the stakes are always high at a big club like Hearts but I will do my very best to get the job done and to make my price count.
'I have always loved Hearts so when the opportunity presented itself I did not hesitate to grab it. Football is team work so if we will be able to do that as a team I don't see why we should not win titles. I came here to enhance my play and win titles and I hope by the grace of the Lord that will come to pass'.
Latif Salifu was a part of the Ghana U-20 team that took the World by storm by winning the World U-20 championship in 2009 held in Egypt.
