Ghanaian striker Nana Poku grabbed his 10th goal of the season after scoring the opener for Al Shorta in their 1-1 stalemate Al Ittihad on Tuesday evening.
The former Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe Award winner netted the opening goal Alexandria Stadium as he converted from the spot on the 12th minute.
Poku has maintained an impressive scoring run in the Egyptian Premier League and could win the Goal King race if he keeps up his scoring form.
Elsewhere in other games, former Liberty Professionals striker Ernest Papa Arko increased his tally to 9 in the league after scoring the consolation goal for Arab Contractors who lost 2-1 against Misr Elmaqasah.
