Hasaacas coach Yusif Basigi has likened himself to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger because of his expertise to develop promising talents on the local scene.
The Black Queens coach believes he is a diamond-in-the-rough polisher and insists he is not in the game necessarily to win titles.
Basigi told SportsCrusader: “Yes I am the Arsene Wenger of Ghana football because my career has been dominated by the development of talents.
“I have scouted and developed many talents who are currently making waves in the First Capital Plus Premier League. If Wenger is known for developing talents, then I qualify to be the Arsene Wenger of Ghana Football.
“Players like Samuel Afful, Theophilus Awotwe, Emmanuel Ankobea, James Bissue, Richard Yamoah and Joseph Ato Bissah are all the results of my handiwork.
“The female national teams have benefited greatly from my technical aptness as the Black Queens currently has about eight players who I scouted and developed. So if Wenger is hailed for talent development, then I am his replica in Ghana.”
Basigi led the Sekondi-based side to finish seventh in 2013/2014 Ghana Premier League campaign.
