Ghana youth attacker Ebenezer Assifuah finally marked his Swiss Super League debut for FC Sion on Wednesday after coming off the bench in their 2-1 win over Lausanne Sport.
The 19-year-old was introduced just before the start of the second half to replace French forward Fousseyni Cissé and he overly impressed showing great attacking qualities.
Assifuah, winner of the 2013 FIFA U20 Golden Shoe Award, moved to Sion from Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals but had not been featured in a Super League game.
After scoring seven times in three games for Sion's U21 side, Michel Decastel handed him his debut game as he came off the bench to replace Cisse.
After impressing against Lausanne, he is likely to claim a starting spot in the weekend tie against FC Basel on Saturday.
