A late rally by New Edubiase to at least pick a point from the Tema Stadium failed as Tema Youth boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation with a 3-2 win.
Bright Adjei scored his first hat-trick in the Glo Premier League by the 66th minute to send Tema Youth cruising.
Edubiase saw Atobrah Asiedu and Stephen Manu score two goals within eleven minutes.
But despite their fight-back, Tema Youth held on to win the game. A result which will aid their plans to escape to relegation with two matches to go.
Tema Youth, who are lying 14th and in the relegation bracket are now level on points with Heart of Lions, who placed 13th on the log.
In Kumasi, King Faisal drew 2-2 with Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium.
