Accra, Mar. 8, GNA - Hosts Algeria have named their 21-man squad for the 2013 African Youth Championship slated from March 16-30.
The hosts drawn in Group A alongside Ghana's Black Satellites, Benin and Egypt for the two-week tournament have named a strong squad for the tourney which also serves as the continental qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that Head Coach, Jean Marc Nobilo named 13 players from the Algeria Football Association (FAF) academy christened 'AC FAF' in his final squad. There were also places for five players plying their trade in France.
The hosts will launch their campaign against Benin on March 16 in Aïn Témouchent, play fellow North African Egypt three days later before squaring Ghana on March 22 at the same venue.
The semi-finalists will represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup later in the year in Turkey.
