Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong hopes his loan spell at Fulham will earn him a Ghana call-up.
Frimpong could be handed his debut invitation for this month's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi.
The 21-year-old was cleared to play for the Black Stars in November last year but was excluded from the squad which played at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
“I want to play for Ghana and, hopefully, I can start doing that very soon,” Frimpong said.
“That is my aim, to get into the squad. But for that to happen, I need to start playing regularly.
“I spoke to the manager recently and he said I should just carry on playing my football and see what happens for the next game.
That is next month so we will have to wait and see what he decides.”
Frimpong played for England at the Under-17 and 19 levels.
