Barclays Bank Ghana Limited, on Saturday, held fun games for its members of staff across the country at the El Wak Stadium, Accra.
In a well-attended event, dubbed “Barclays National Family Fun Day Games”, which served as a moment of fun and bonding for the staff of the bank, they participated with their families and friends in the games, while an opportunity was created for the children to also engage in their own version as well.
The Northern Zone emerged the overall winners of the competition, which saw the participants engaging in football, volley ball, sack race, lime-on-spoon race, oware, ampe, and tug-of-peace among other events. Four of the zones tied at the second spot, while the Head Office zone picked the last slot.
Mr. Benjamin Dabrah, Managing Director of the bank, formally opened the event by lighting the event flame.
He said the event would be an annual affair to serve as part of efforts to promote sports among the staff of the bank, and to create a common platform and environment to help them increase productivity under healthy conditions.
