Cape Coast, Sept. 22, GNA - The Zone Three of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Women's football league commenced at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah Sports Stadium.
The eight teams participating in the competition are Cape Coast Vodafone Ladies and Winneba Soccer Intellectuals from the Central Region and Ketu Ladies and Ho Vodafone Ladies from the Volta Region.
The rest are La Ladies, Faith Ladies, Accra Ghatel Ladies and Athleta Ladies all from the Greater Accra Region.
In the opening match, Accra Ghatel Ladies whipped Accra Athleta 5-1.
La Ladies drew 0-0 with Accra Faith Ladies, while Cape Coast Vodafone Ladies walloped Ketu Ladies 4-1 when Edem Atovor scored a hat trick for the Cape Coast Vodafone Ladies with Winneba Soccer Intellectuals also beating Ho Ladies 3-1.
