The German Football Federation (DFB) has restored the playing licence of Ghana international striker Prince Tagoe, paving the way for him to play competitive football in the European country.
The DFB has revealed that the Black Stars striker does not suffer from any heart problems after a review by its special doctors.
This decision by the football authorities on Monday night means the forward can play club football for his club Hoffenheim.
The Bundesliga side requested for his license to be frozen in August after they presented a dubious medical report claiming a life-threatening heart condition has ended his career.
The German side subsequently cancelled his contract after they managed to freeze his playing license at the DFB.
But after threats of court action and persistence from his agent Goran Milovanovic over the dubious medical test his contract was reinstated.
The DFB requested for independent tests which confirmed that Tagoe can continue with his career, resulting in their decision to give him back his license.
"I am delighted that my license has been given back to me so I am very happy that I can now play at the top level," Tagoe told Ghanasoccernet exclusively.
As I said from the first day I am not sick and this report from the DFB confirms it.
"It has been four-five months of hell but we thank God today that the German authorities have accepted what we have been saying all along.
"Now the key thing for me is to get back to playing and getting back to my best shape. In all conditions I thank God."
Tagoe expressed his appreciation to Ghanaians for the prayer they offered him in August when Hoffenheim cancelled his contract.
"I want to thank my family, my agent, lawyers, friends and the entire Ghanaian populace for their prayers and support for me when the news broke out.
"There were many people who fasted and prayed for me and had very good wishes for me - to them I am eternally grateful.
"To the Ghana Football Association they have been behind me every step of the way - I am very grateful to them too."
Tagoe has settled his differences with his German club Hoffenheim and returned to training.
The striker signed for the Bundesliga side in June but had his contract cancelled in a dispute over his health.
The club claimed that he had a heart problem, but he said a second-opinion gave him the all-clear.
Now after a row lasting four months he has started training again with the team and has had his contract reinstated.
The player has also received the signing-on fee which he was denied when his contract was cancelled.
Tagoe will talk to Ghanasoccernet on Tuesday about the chance of the Black Stars at the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola next month.
