
Former Asante Kotoko head coach, Ernst Middendorp has landed a new job with a German third division league club. Middendorp who refused to extend his contract with Asante Kotoko for various reasons, has signed for FC Augsburg.
The 43-year old who is noted for his team building exploits with German clubs like Hannover and Armenia Belifield is expected to propel his new club to the second Bundesliga before the elite Bundesliga.
According to the former Asante Kotoko coach, he hopes to build a formidable team with fourteen newly signed players.
Middendorp got the nod over three other candidates.As coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Middendorp led the team to win the annual F.A Cup for the 2001-02 season.
