Dwarfs beat Windy Professionals

Winneba (C/R) July 13, GNA - Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs beat Winneba Windy Professionals 2-0 in their Division One League match played at Winneba on Sunday.

Dwarfs who occupy the second position in the Zone 2B League table with 25 points just needs one more win to qualify for the Middle League.

From the blast of the whistle it was Dwarfs who took control of the match but had to wait until the 15th minute before Edward Ajaglo scored the opener with a sizzling shot.

After the goal Windy Professionals matched Dwarfs boot to boot and made several efforts to equalise but their desire to walk the ball into the net denied them the equaliser till the end of the first half.

Back from the recess, Dwarfs threw everything into attack and increased their goal tally to two through midfielder Francis Gyepi in the 75th minute.

Results of other League matches were, Starke spanked Sekondi Westlandes 7-1 with Tarkwa United losing 1-2 to Sekondi Metro Stars.
