Striker Kwame Obeng Darko is grabbing the headlines in Syria with impressive display for champions Al Karama.
The 23- year old created the only goal of the match for the Asian side in their 1-0 triumph over wathba in the Syrian league.
Darko used his pace to terrify defenders of wathba but failed to break the deadlock as his oppoent found the strategy to contain him.
The Ghanaian was brought down in the penalty box after which captain Abass Hassan scored the resultant spot kick in the 35th minute.
Obeng Darko has been a revelation in Syria since his move to Al Karama.
He scored on his debut and set up two more as his club beat Jabala 4-1 last week.
He is expected to spearhead the fourth consecutive title challenge for the Syrian champions.
Al Karamah are currently placed 4th on the league table.
