Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies continued their impressive start to the 2026 CAF Women's Champions League with a 2-1 victory over Uganda's Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
A late goal from Beline Nyarko secured all three points for Charles Anokye Frimpong's side, who have now won both of their opening matches in the competition.
Both teams entered the encounter on the back of victories in their opening fixtures, with Ampem Darkoa beating USFAS Bamako and Kawempe Muslim recording a win over Moroccan giants AS FAR.
The Ghanaian side made a bright start and were rewarded for their early pressure in the 19th minute.
Kawempe's goalkeeper failed to deal with a clearance, allowing Nancy Amoh to capitalise on the mistake and put Ampem Darkoa ahead.
The Black Queens midfielder had an opportunity to double her side's advantage moments later but failed to make the most of the chance after poor decision-making in the final third.
Kawempe Muslim responded and drew level in the 33rd minute after a communication breakdown between goalkeeper Rose Teye Baah and her defender presented the Ugandan side with an opportunity to restore parity.
The contest remained closely fought after the break, with Kawempe enjoying greater possession but struggling to turn their dominance into clear-cut opportunities.
Ampem Darkoa, however, found a decisive breakthrough seven minutes from time when Nyarko took advantage of another defensive error to score the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
The victory gives the Ghanaian champions six points from their opening two matches and strengthens their chances of progressing to the next stage of the competition.
Ampem Darkoa will now look to maintain their momentum as they continue their quest for the continental title.
