We should have beaten Vision FC - Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko after 1-1 draw

Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has insisted his side “should have won” after being held to a hard-fought stalemate by a resilient Vision FC, rueing missed chances that cost them maximum points.

The Yellow and Mavue started their title defence with a 1-1 draw on Saturday at the Nii Adjei Kraku Park II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown.

The hosts scored through Zaidan Alhassan in the 8th minute before Kingsley Braye secured the much-needed equaliser for the visitors in the 47th minute.

Speaking after the game, Tanko believes it was a game of what could have been for the visitors, who dominated large spells but lacked the clinical edge to break the deadlock.

“We created a lot of good chances, and if we had taken our chances, we would have won the game, but we go with the point and prepare for the next game,” he said at the presser after the match.

The Tarkwa-based club will tussle it out away with Dreams FC on September 23; they will host Basake Holy Stars and Port City on September 27 & 30, respectively, with all three games being played within seven days.
