TUE, 15 SEP 2026

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the return of the Women's Premier Super Cup, with eight teams set to compete in the pre-season tournament ahead of the 2026/27 Women's Premier League campaign.

The competition, which serves as the traditional curtain-raiser to the new season, will feature the top four clubs from both the Northern and Southern Zones of the Women's Premier League.

The eight qualifiers have been split into two groups for the tournament, which will be staged at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram from 23 to 29 September.

Former champions Hasaacas Ladies headline Group A alongside FC Savannah, Jonina Ladies and FOSU Royal Ladies.

Group B features Prisons Ladies, Army Ladies, Dreamz Ladies and Epiphany Warriors.

Dreamz Ladies enter the competition as defending champions after becoming the first Northern Zone side to lift the trophy in the 2024 edition.

They defeated Ampem Darkoa Ladies 2-1 in the final, with Sarah Nyarko and Stella Nyamekye scoring the goals that secured a historic triumph.

The week-long tournament is expected to provide clubs with valuable competitive preparation before the Women's Premier League season gets underway, while offering an early opportunity for teams to stake their claim for silverware.
