Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak have announced the formation of an Interim Management Committee (IMC) following the resignation of managing director Julius Ben Emunah.
Ben Emunah, who was appointed on 2 February 2026 to replace Dr Delali Anku-Adiamah, was tasked with strengthening the club's administration, commercial operations and sporting structure.
However, his tenure has come to an abrupt end just one match into the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, prompting the club's board to put temporary leadership arrangements in place.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Hearts of Oak confirmed that the IMC will oversee the affairs of the club pending the appointment of a new management team.
The committee will be chaired by Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe and includes Samuel Wilfred Yaw Inkoom, who will oversee finance, Akwasi Agyemang in charge of operations, Vincent Sowah Odotei handling administration, and Alhaji Yusif Abdullai, who will be responsible for mobilisation.
"Following the resignation of the Managing Director, the Board of Directors has put in place an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to steer the affairs of the Club, pending the appointment of a new management team," the club said in its statement.
The board also assured supporters and stakeholders that measures were being taken to ensure continuity and stability at the club.
"The Board of Directors wishes to assure all stakeholders that it is taking all steps necessary to ensure that the Club continues its pursuit of pre-eminence not just in the country but continentally," the statement added.
Hearts have called on fans and stakeholders to support the committee as it begins work during a crucial period for the club.
The leadership change comes as Hearts of Oak look to build on a strong start to their league campaign after opening the season with a 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will be on the road to play against Bibiani Gold Stars in the Matchday 2 game at the DUN's Park.
