Finnish club SJK Akatemia has completed the signing of promising Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Asante Jnr, handing the 18-year-old a two-year contract with an option for a further year.

Asante Jnr joins the club from Rumark Football Academy in Ghana, marking a significant step in his young career as he makes the switch to European football.

The talented midfielder, who originates from Otumi in the Kwaebibirim District of Ghana’s Eastern Region, has built a strong reputation in school football circles.

He rose to prominence during his time at TI AMASS, where his technical quality and attacking creativity set him apart as one of the standout prospects at the grassroots level.

Following his school football success, he continued his development at Rumark Football Academy, where his performances further enhanced his profile and attracted attention from scouts tracking emerging talent across West Africa.

SJK Akatemia, known for its focus on youth development, is expected to provide a structured pathway for the Ghanaian youngster as he adapts to the demands of professional football in Finland.

The move adds to the growing list of Ghanaian players earning opportunities in Europe, as clubs continue to scout the West African nation for promising prospects.

Asante Jnr will now focus on settling into his new environment and working his way into competitive action as he begins the next phase of his career abroad.
