President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has delivered a motivational charge to the Black Starlets ahead of the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, urging the team to play with confidence and national pride.
Ghana will compete in the tournament later this month, where they have been drawn in Group D alongside Algeria, South Africa and Senegal.
Speaking to the squad before their departure to Rabat on Wednesday, Okraku reminded the players of the responsibility they carry as representatives of the nation, encouraging them to remain fearless against any opposition.
“You are carrying the hopes of millions of Ghanaians," he said.
"When you step onto that pitch, remember that you are not alone—an entire nation stands behind you,” Okraku added.
The Black Starlets have since arrived in Rabat to begin their final phase of preparations for the competition.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on May 13, 2026, with Ghana set to begin their Group D campaign against Algeria a day later in what is expected to be a tough opening fixture.
