The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has received a donation of Two Hundred and Forty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS 240,000.00) from the Pee Kaf Company Limited to aid the Ghana Black Stars in their upcoming participation in the FIFA World Cup.

Receiving the donation on Wednesday, in Accra, the Minister for Sport and Recreation, Mr Kofi Iddie Admas, appreciated the generosity of Pee Kaf Company Limited, noting that such support would go a long way in boosting the team’s efforts at the World Cup.

He assured the public and the company of strict transparency and accountability regarding the utilisation of all donations received and called on other corporate institutions to follow suit.

The Chief Executive, Alex Okyere, expressed his commitment to supporting Ghana’s national team, aligning his gesture with the President's call for Ghanaian businesses to rally behind the Black Stars on the global stage.

“I am responding to the patriotic call by our President to support Ghana’s appearance at the World Cup. I associate myself with this noble cause, and recognise the pride the national team brings to the country, which motivated my journey from Kumasi to make this donation,” he stated.

He also wished the team success and urged discipline among the players to ensure victory at every stage of the tournament.
