All invited players for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, are now in camp ahead of their upcoming international friendlies later this month.

The team began preparations on Sunday, with 21 players taking part in their first training session on Monday.

By Tuesday, the squad had been fully assembled following the arrivals of Alexander Djiku and Kojo Oppong Peprah.

Deputy captain Thomas Partey reported to camp on Monday but did not participate in the initial training session.

Meanwhile, Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer, who received a late call-up following the withdrawals of Brandon Thomas-Asante and Iñaki Williams, has also joined the team.

By Tuesday, all invited players were involved in full training as preparations intensified for Friday’s friendly against Austria national football team at the Ernst Happel Stadium.

The squad at training included Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare, Joseph Anang, Patrick Pfeiffer, Derrick Luckassen, Derrick Köhn, Jerome Opoku, Caleb Yirenkyi, Kojo Oppong Peprah, Jonas Adjetey, Marvin Senaya, Gideon Mensah, Elisha Owusu, Ibrahim Sulemana, Kwasi Sibo, Jordan Ayew, Prince Kwabena Adu, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Daniel Agyei, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer.

The Black Stars are expected to continue training on Wednesday and Thursday before the clash on Friday, March 27, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 GMT.

Following the Austria encounter, the team will travel to Stuttgart for another friendly against Germany on Monday, March 30.

The matches form part of Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be staged in North America later this year.
