The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the appointment of French coach Alain Ravera as an assistant for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Ravera, who has an extensive international résumé including previous stints with Guinea and French club AS Monaco, will work alongside head coach Otto Addo.
His responsibilities will include match preparation, tactical planning, and contributing to the overall development of the team throughout the tournament, which is set to take place across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
This appointment is specific to the 2026 World Cup campaign and reflects the GFA’s tradition of strengthening the Black Stars’ technical staff whenever the national team qualifies for major international competitions.
Ghana is scheduled to regroup in March for international friendlies against Austria and Germany as part of their World Cup preparations.
Drawn in Group L with Panama, England, and Croatia, the Black Stars will aim to progress beyond the group stage, having been eliminated at that phase in both the 2014 and 2022 editions.
