Spanish La Liga side Villarreal CF have entered the race to sign Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The young attacker has been a standout performer for Leicester City in the Championship this season, netting five goals and providing seven assists in 26 appearances for the former Premier League champions.
Interest in the former Sporting CP winger has also come from English clubs Sunderland and AFC Bournemouth, with Villarreal now joining the competition to secure his signature.
Villarreal believe Fatawu fits the profile they are seeking to strengthen their wing options, praising his pace, skill, and constant threat in the final third.
Reports suggest the Spanish club are prepared to offer around €30 million to land the 20-year-old, who is under contract with Leicester until 2029. Sunderland are also reportedly willing to match Villarreal’s offer.
The proposed fee, while high for a Championship club, reflects Leicester’s ambition to attract strong bids for their standout performers.
Meanwhile, Fatawu is expected to be included in Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the friendly against Germany scheduled for March.
