Ghana midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has been unveiled by Brooklyn FC after sealing a move to the club ahead of the 2025/26 USL Gainbridge Super League campaign.

The 31-year-old Black Queens player was confirmed by the club on Wednesday, shortly after returning from international duty, where she played a part in Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Cudjoe heads to Brooklyn FC following a season with DC Power FC, where she made 10 appearances in the league. She also previously featured for Danish top-flight side FC Nordsjaelland.

Sharing her excitement on social media after the unveiling, she wrote: “Super excited to join Brooklyn FC! And on top of that, it’s my first home game today!! Happy game day.”

Her football journey began with Hasaacas Ladies between 2012 and 2014, before moving to the United States for college football, representing Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Northeastern State University and the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Cudjoe later signed for California Storm FC in 2017 and switched to Asheville City SC a year later. Her career then took her to the Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves in 2020 before earning a place in the NWSL, turning out for Sky Blue FC at the 2020 Challenge Cup, and later for Gotham FC.

“Jennifer is an experienced player and a true leader. Her composure, professionalism and passion for the game will make a huge impact on our group,” said Brooklyn FC sporting director Kevin Tenjo.

Cudjoe has represented Ghana at the U-17 and U-20 levels and has eight senior caps. She was part of the Black Queens squad that won bronze at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and played a key role in the team’s emphatic 7-0 aggregate playoff win over Egypt to secure qualification for next year’s tournament.
