Nsoatreman FC Communications Director, Gyempeh Kofi Joel, has confirmed that the club has been dissolved following growing safety concerns.

In a statement released on Friday, March 14, the former FA Cup champions announced their withdrawal from the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

This decision comes in the wake of a recent attack on the team by unidentified assailants while they were travelling to honour their Matchday 24 fixture against FC Samartex last Monday.

Speaking to Sporty FM, Kofi Joel explained that the club’s leadership opted for dissolution due to the inability to ensure the safety of players and technical staff.

"Nsoatreman FC has been dissolved," he confirmed. "Players have been asked to go home."

The club has recently been embroiled in controversy following the tragic death of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed.

In response to the incident, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) imposed a ban on Nsoatreman’s home venue, Nana Kronmansah Park, preventing it from hosting any further matches.

Meanwhile, the GFA has yet to issue an official response to Nsoatreman FC's decision. The club also failed to show up for their Matchday 25 clash against Basake Holy Stars on Sunday.
