Czech top-flight club, FC Baník Ostrava has completed the signing of Ghanaian attacking winger Dennis Owusu.

The club confirmed the acquisition of the versatile forward on Monday, January 13.

The forward has signed a three-year contract and will be expected to use his quality to help the club achieve its goals.

“Baník is expanding its squad with another new name. The club has agreed on a three-year contract with attacking winger Dennis Owusu, who came from German SGV Freiberg,” FC Baník Ostrava announced in an official statement.

Dennis Owusu, 24, is a German-born player of Ghanaian descent.

He started his football in the youth team of Mainz and went through Fürth and Darmstadt.

He has now left SC Freiburg to join FC Baník Ostrava.

The head of the sports department at FC Baník Ostrava, Luděk Mikloško is elated with the signing and is confident Dennis Owusu will use his quality to help the team.

"His dominant side is definitely speed, but he is also a technically gifted player who can assert himself in one-on-one duels or make the final pass. We scouted him for some time, we went to Germany to watch him and we agreed that he is an interesting type of player who is worth working with," said Luděk Mikloško.
